Four films from Assam selected for IFFI

Guwahati: Four films from Assam have been selected for the Indian Panorama of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

The selected films will be screened during the 52nd edition of IFFI in Goa.

Three featured films namely Semkhor (Dimasa) a film by Assam’s actress Aimee Baruah, Boomba (Mishing) by Biswajeet Bora, Sijou (Bodo) by Vishal P Chalia, and Veerangana, a documentary by Kishore Kalita has been selected in the non-feature section.

It may be mentioned that a total of 25 selected films will be screened and will also be showcased to all the registered delegates and representatives from the selected films during the nine-day film festival in Goa.

Apart from the four films from Assam, Pabung Syan, a Manipuri film by Paban Kumar has also been selected in the non-feature section.

The festival will be held from November 20 to 28, 2021.
