Four “Kidnapped” Minor Girls From Arunachal Rescued In Guwahati
Guwahati: Four girls who had been abducted from Arunachal Pradesh were all rescued by police late on Sunday in Guwahati of Assam.
In a joint operation, the police from Arunachal Pradesh and Assam freed the children from a Guwahati hotel and detained the woman who was later identified as the main suspect.
Four girls were reported missing from the Manabhum region on September 8, and the Changlang district’s Diyun Police Station was notified of the incident.
Following this, Changlang SP Mihin Gambo coordinated with Assam Police DIGP Prasanta Changmai and DCP of Dispur Sudhakar Singh to zero in on the exact whereabouts of the missing minors, they said.
Later, the Changlang Child Welfare Committee was able to rescue the girls and deliver them to their guardians.
