Guwahati: In a horrifying incident at least four persons lost their lives after a car they were travelling fell into a gorge in Nagaon district of Assam on Tuesday morning.
The incident took place in the Kaliabor town of the district.
According to reports, the Honda Accent vehicle bearing registration number AS 03 AE 8003 lost control as the National Highway 37 in Kanchanjuri under Bagori police outpost has been submerged under water while the vehicle fell into the gorge.
The incident unravelled at around 8 am while the vehicle was on its way to Jorhat from Guwahati.
Around Four people died on the spot resulting the incident and one got severely injured.
The victim has been identified as Sachin Bordoloi (18), Lohit Das (23), Risabh Das (19) and Rahul Senapati.
