Guwahati, 23 June: Four Assamese authors brought honour on Friday to the State by winning Sahitya Akademi Awards in various categories.
The esteemed Bal Sahitya Award has been presented to Rothindranath Goswami. His outstanding contributions to children’s literature have been acknowledged and praised.
Additionally, Jintu Gitartha received the Yuva Sahitya Akademi Award for his outstanding contributions to the field of young adult literature. The honour recognises his talent and commitment to crafting memorable tales for the younger generation.
Mainaosri Daimary received the Yuva Sahitya Akademi Award in the Bodo language. Her outstanding contributions to Bodo literature have been acknowledged and praised.
Additionally, Pratima Nandi Narzary has been recognised for her remarkable contributions to children’s writing with the Bal Sahitya Akademi Award.
