Four-Year-Old Boy Killed in Assam After Tree Branch Falls on Him

Guwahati: A tragic incident occurred in the Fenairbond tea garden area of Ramkrishnanagar under Sribhumi district, Assam, where a four-year-old boy lost his life after a tree branch fell on him. The victim, identified as Sarthak Kairi, was in the courtyard of his home when the branch from a nearby tree suddenly broke off and fell on him.

Sarthak’s family members and locals rushed him to the nearest healthcare facility, from where he was immediately referred to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) due to the severity of his injuries. Unfortunately, the child succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital and was declared dead before reaching SMCH.

The incident has plunged the local community into deep mourning, with residents expressing shock and sorrow over the untimely demise of the young boy. The news of Sarthak’s death has sent shockwaves through the community, with many expressing grief over the tragic loss of a young life.

Authorities are yet to comment on whether any investigation or safety audit of old trees in residential areas will follow in light of the incident. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of old trees in residential areas and the need for regular maintenance to prevent such tragedies.
