Guwahati: A four-year-old child was abducted from her own residential quarter on Saturday afternoon in Guwahati.
The kidnapping was reported at Maligaon in Guwahati where a man came to sell clothes, and the child has been missing ever since the man left, according to sources.
Locals claimed that the man in the black jacket was carrying two large bags filled with clothing. “Kashmiri Kurti, Pajama,” he was shouting into his microphone as he walked through the colony. The missing child was playing outside her gate at that time, and as soon as he left, the missing child vanished as well.
The locals and the family members suspect that the man who came to sell clothes may have abducted the four-year-old.
Moreover, nniffer dogs are being used by the police to look for the child, but no information on the child has yet been received.
The incident has raised controversy in Maligaon.
