Gaurav Gogoi Criticizes Assam Government During Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra

Guwahati, 18th January: During the Assam leg of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi on January 18, Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi aimed his criticism at the Assam Government.

Addressing the media, Gaurav Gogoi remarked, “This journey has become a path of excitement, enthusiasm, and coordination for the people of Assam. The residents are dismayed because the government here prioritizes the interests of the coal and stone mafia over the welfare of the poor and farmers. Currently, there is frustration among the people that Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and Rahul Gandhi aim to alleviate…”

Describing the journey as one filled with excitement, Gogoi highlighted how the yatra seeks to address the growing frustration among the people towards the current BJP-led government.

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra made its entry into Assam after a formal flag handover ceremony from Nagaland to Assam. Covering a distance of 833 km in the state, the Assam leg of the yatra is set to conclude on January 25.
