Gaurav Gogoi Hails Success of Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ in Assam

Guwahati, 24th January: Lok Sabha MP and Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi expressed satisfaction with the Assam leg of Rahul Gandhi-led ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,’ referring to it as a significant success that bolstered the spirit of the state’s residents.

Gogoi highlighted the yatra’s profound impact on empowering the people, especially in the face of a perceived atmosphere of intimidation created by the State Government. He noted that the fearlessness demonstrated by Rahul Gandhi during the yatra has inspired the people of Assam, providing them with the strength to assert their rights independently. Gogoi emphasized that this empowerment marks the most significant achievement of ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ in Assam.

Responding to corruption allegations against Rahul Gandhi, Gogoi clarified that it was the people of Assam who conveyed their concerns about Himanta Biswa Sarma, terming him as the most corrupt Chief Minister in the country. Gogoi emphasized that this assertion came directly from the people of Assam and not Rahul Gandhi himself.

During a press conference in Bongaigaon, both Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh and Gaurav Gogoi collectively deemed the yatra a success, citing the overwhelming reception it received in the region.
