Gautam Adani Applauds PM Modi’s Vision at Advantage Assam 2.0
Guwahati: Addressing the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit in Guwahati on February 25, Adani Group Chairperson Gautam Adani hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in transforming Assam’s economic landscape. Comparing Modi’s vision to the Brahmaputra River’s enduring impact on the state, Adani highlighted the government’s role in fostering regional growth, connectivity, and investment opportunities.
“It is an honor to stand before you at Advantage Assam 2.0. Each time I set foot in this sacred land of Maa Kamakhya, I am mesmerized by its boundless natural beauty. Just as the Brahmaputra carves its path, our Prime Minister has redefined the possibilities for Assam,” Adani remarked, emphasizing the state’s strategic importance in India’s economic future.
He credited PM Modi’s Act East Policy for integrating the Northeast into India’s broader growth narrative, describing the Prime Minister as a “master weaver” who has successfully united the Seven Sister States into the national economic framework. According to Adani, Assam and its neighboring states are now poised to become key drivers of the country’s development through infrastructure and connectivity advancements.
Reflecting on India’s investment journey, Adani drew parallels between the Advantage Assam summit and the landmark Resurgent Gujarat initiative of 2003, which laid the foundation for the now globally recognized Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. He recalled how Modi’s leadership in initiating such summits has since inspired investment-driven transformations across multiple states.
“Yesterday, I was in Bhopal listening to you at the Madhya Pradesh Global Investors’ Summit, and today, I stand here in Guwahati. I can’t help but reflect that this movement began in 2003 with Resurgent Gujarat, a vision that has since grown into a national investment movement,” he noted, reinforcing the significance of Advantage Assam 2.0 in shaping the state’s economic trajectory.
