Guwahati: The Miss Northeast 2022 competition was held on Thursday in Kohima of Nagaland and Irene Dkhar of Meghalaya took home the crown.
There were a total of 14 competitors, hailing from eight Northeastern states.
The North East Beauty Pageant Organization created the Miss Northeast pageant, which was put on by the Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN).
Notably, this is the first time Miss Northeast pageant was organized. The Nagaland government supported the pageant.
Dkhar, who has been declared the winner of the pageant, received a cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakh along with gift hampers.
The pageant’s subsequent iteration is slated to take place in Sikkim.
Meanwhile, the first runners up and second runners up are Eshanee Hatimuria from Assam and Dyna Jomo from Arunachal Pradesh.
