Guwahati: Another case of child sexual abuse in Guwahati has come to light, this time involving an 18-year-old girl who was abused by a gang of miscreants.
According to reports, the criminals made the victim a job offer in exchange for sexually assaulting her.
The authorities of the city’s Basistha Police Station registered a report after the child described her ordeal.
She told officials that Aminul Islam and Abu Abdullah, were involved in the incident. They had promised to give her a work and had transported her from Roumari in Tezpur.
She stated that they later molested her sexually at Bamunpara, a construction site in Guwahati’s Lokhra area.
Meanwhile, Basistha Police has arrested both the prime accused in the matter, Amirul Islam and Abu Abdullah.
Police have further kept the investigation into the incident underway.
