Guwahati: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) made seizure worth lakhs in an operation against plastic bags on Friday.
This occurs in the midst of strict regulations that limit single-use plastics in an effort to reduce pollution.
A GMC reportedly conducted a raid on a warehouse today in the Lokhra area of Guwahati.
Plastic bags worth Rs 20 lakhs were seized during the raid, according to the operation’s officers.
Officials also informed the bags were stored by a businessman named Chotelal Gupta.
