Go First Flight Departs From Bengaluru Leaving More Than 50 Passengers on Board

Guwahati: A huge mishap occurred early on Monday when a Go First flight from Bengaluru to Delhi took off, leaving more than 50 passengers in a bus on the tarmac.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) declared that it is “looking into the situation” after the incident attracted harsh criticism on Twitter.

Several Twitter users who identified themselves as travellers criticised the airline, calling it a “most terrible experience.”

One of the passengers reported that more than 50 people aboard one of the two airline buses were “left on ground” as the 6.20 am flight took off.

“Flight G8 116 takes off, leaving 50+ passengers. Heights of negligence,” another user wrote.

Additionally, a flier claimed that 60 passengers were “left on the runway” and that their boarding tickets were inspected at gate 25.

While this was going on, the airline apologised to the passengers and asked for their information while remaining silent about the alleged situation.

The passengers were reportedly later accommodated on a flight that took off four hours later at around ten in the morning.

“We have sought a report from the airline and appropriate action shall be taken,” a DGCA official said.
