Goa Club Owner & Drug Peddler Arrested in Sonali Phogat’s Murder Case
Guwahati: Two additional suspects were taken into custody by the Goa Police in connection with the murder of BJP politician Sonali Phogat on Saturday.
According to reports, the owner of Curlies Beach Shack in Anjuna and alleged drug dealer Dattprashad Gaonkar were the two people who were detained.
Four people have been arrested thus far in relation to the murder case.
The BJP politician Sonali Phogat’s body had “several blunt force injuries,” according to post-mortem results, while police earlier on Thursday arrested two of her acquaintances. They were identified as Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Wasi.
Notably, Rinku Dhaka, the brother of Phogat, had mentioned them in his complaint to the Anjuna Police on August 24. When Phogat arrived in Goa on August 22, she was joined by Sagwan and Wasi.
Sonali Phogat, a TikTok celebrity who had made an appearance on Bigg Boss, passed away on August 23 in Goa.
