Goa: Pramod Sawanta takes oath as CM, PM Modi congratulates
Guwahati: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Pramod Sawant and his Council of Ministers on taking oath as the Chief Minister and Ministers of Goa.
The Prime Minister expressed his confidence that entire team will deliver good governance to the people of Goa.
The Prime Minister tweeted, “Congratulations to @DrPramodPSawant Ji and all others who took oath in Goa today. I am confident this entire team will deliver good governance to the people of Goa and build on the pro-people work done in the last decade.”
It may be mentioned that Pramod Sawant took oath as the Chief Minister of Goa for a second consecutive term at grand swearing-in ceremony held at the Shyamaprasad Mukherjee stadium in Taleigao on Monday.
Meanwhile, eight other MLAs also took oath as Cabinet Ministers in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top BJP leaders. In a packed stadium with almost 10,000 people, the CM and the eight MLAs — Vishwajit Rane, Mauvin Godinho, Nilesh Cabral, Ravi Naik, Subhash Shirodkar, Govind Gaude and Rohan Khaunte — were administered the oath of office by Goa Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai.
