Gold Smuggler Arrested At Guwahati Railway Station
Guwahati: In a massive operation, the railway police of Guwahati seized a huge quantity of gold being smuggled and one individual has been arrested in connection with it on Friday.
Based on specific information, the seizure was made at the Guwahati Railway Station today.
The arrested smuggler has been identified as Vishal Sukhadeo Dabade, a resident of Delhi.
According to reports, Vishal had reached in Guwahati on a Rajdhani Express and was caught after he arrived here.
As per the officials, the 27-year-old smuggler is the son of Sukhadeo Shamarao Dabade from Badarpur village near Jaipur Road under Badarpur police station in New Delhi.
Officials informed that at least 13 gold biscuits were moulded in the shape of two long scales weighing around 822 grams.
Officials further informed that the smuggler was travelling on Rajdhani Express Train number 12423, Coach B5, seat number 59.
Moreover, the estimated cost of the gold bars is said to be Rs 5o lakhs.
Meanwhile, the police officials are currently interrogating Vishal.
