Golden Girl Hima has strong challenge for a medal

Guwahati: Golden Girl Hima Das may have won the 200 m competition at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham but she is stands in eighth place overall.

Hima’s time today of 23.42 seconds is slower than her season-best time of 23.22 seconds, which she recorded in June of this year at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium.

When the results of all the hits are totaled, it is revealed that FavourOfill, who is ranked No. 1 and Hima are separated by more than almost one second.

48 athletes participated in six hits today, and 24 made it to the semifinals. Hima will undoubtedly make the Final based on today’s timing, but getting there will be difficult, so she must run at her very best to get on the podium.
