Guwahati: A massive fire broke out in a market area at Silapathar in Dhemaji district of Assam on Friday night.
According to reports, the extraordinary fire destroyed as many as 12 nearby establishments.
Stores for goods as well as a factory workshop are among the affected structures.
The cause of the fire is yet be ascertained.
It is learned that the fire damaged commodities with a market value of close to crores.
Following the incident, about seven fire fighters arrived on the spot and put out the fire.
