Google to Invest Rs. 33,737 crores in Jio Platforms
The MD of Reliance Industries Limited Mukesh Ambani addressed the virtual Jio Annual General Meet on Wednesday. On the Virtual AGM Mukesh Ambani announced that Reliance Company will now do partnership with google as they will invest Rs 33,737 cr for a 7.7% stake in Jio Platforms. In the virtual meeting Ambani also announced that Jio is developing Jio TV Plus, Jio Glass and 5G services in India.
Google and Jio will partnering to build an android base operating system that could power the entry-level 4G/5G smartphone. Reliance also announced Jio TV which delivers TV channels, shows and movies and much more from various apps and services. Through the Jio App Store on the Set Top Box a person will be able to access the internet applications across multiple genres such as entertainment, education, health, cooking, yoga, gaming, religion, and many more. Jio will also developed a complete world-class 5G service in India and trials to start soon and will be ready for field deployment by next year.
