The Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh – National social organisation of Indian Gorkhas welcomed Government of Assam announcement to declare Gorkha Festival Bhai Tika as State Holiday that falls on 16 November 2020.
Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Senior Cabinet Minister of Government of Assam on Friday declared that the Gorkha Festival Bhai Tika also celebrated as Bhai Dhuj in India will be a State Holiday at public meeting at Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Udalguri district’s Gorkha majoritarian Mazbat constituency.
