Government Aiming to Increase Tourist Flow to Northeast by 15%
Guwahati: Regional Director of North Eastern region of India’s tourism in Guwahati, Anil Urao announced on April 11 that the government wants to enhance tourism to the northeast region by 15%.
“The taste of tourist tourism experience has changed in recent times. Tourists are always looking for something new. The planning of tourism entrepreneurs with the idea of new creative experiences in tourism will give another dimension in this field. In this regard, we will extend full cooperation to the tourism entrepreneurs”, said Anil Urao.
The director stated that the number of positive visitor to Kaziranga in the previous and current tourism years and his encouragement of the entrepreneurial efforts of the tourism industry he has resolved to work towards a 15% increase in visitors across the board in Assam and the North-Eastern Region in the upcoming tourism year.
Road shows will be held in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, among other states, according to director Anil Urao who also stated that efforts will be made to promote tourism in the North East on a national level via social media, the “Youth Club,” the media, etc.
Addressing to the media, he promised that the North-East and Assam’s tourism-potential areas will be developed rapidly.
He claimed that the entire North-East region has enormous tourism potential. In the next days, tourism will take on a new form thanks to the businesspeople involved’ passion and innovative mindset.
The enthusiasm and creative attitude of the entrepreneurs associated with this tourism will give a new shape to tourism in the coming days.
