Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla Reviews Security Situation in Manipur

Imphal: Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla convened a high-level security meeting at Raj Bhavan in Imphal to evaluate the state’s security landscape. The review focused on the prevailing law and order situation, with particular attention to the security arrangements in border areas.

During the meeting, Governor Bhalla emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and security of citizens. He directed the state’s Director General of Police (DGP), Rajiv Singh, to prioritize citizen safety and urged the Army and paramilitary forces to work in close coordination with the administration to uphold law and order.

The meeting was attended by key security officials, including Security Advisor to the Government of Manipur Kuldiep Singh, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South) Major General Ravroop Singh, and senior officers from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Border Security Force (BSF).

The discussions underscored the need for enhanced vigilance and collaborative efforts among various security agencies to address the challenges faced by the state, particularly in sensitive border regions.
