Governor Urges Participation in Eastern Nagaland’s Urban Local Body Elections

Northeast Desk, 7th June: Governor La Ganesan has made a fervent appeal to the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO) and residents of the region to actively engage in the upcoming Urban Local Body (ULB) elections, scheduled for June 26, 2024.

Recognizing the concerns expressed by the ENPO, Governor Ganesan underscored the significance of democratic participation, emphasizing that voting is not just a right but a crucial opportunity to ensure the representation of people’s voices in governance and uphold democratic principles.

Assuring the ENPO and Eastern Nagaland’s populace, the Governor affirmed that the Central Government is diligently addressing issues related to the creation of the Frontier Nagaland Territory. He stressed the importance of constructive dialogue and sustained participation in the democratic process to resolve these concerns effectively.

With optimism, Governor Ganesan urged the ENPO and Eastern Nagaland’s people to exercise their constitutional right and take part in the upcoming ULB election. He emphasized that their participation would strengthen the democratic fabric of the state and contribute to its progress.
