The Government of India warns twitter after misrepresentation of the map of India. The Government conveyed strong disapproval after it showed the geo-location of in Jammu and Kashmir in China. The Government has also wrote a disapproval letter to and stated it as to disrespect India’s “sovereignty and integrity is totally unacceptable”.
Ministry of Electronics and IT secretary Ajay Sawhney said “Any attempt by Twitter to disrespect sovereignty and integrity of India, which is also reflected by the maps, is totally unacceptable. The same is also unlawful.”
Government in the letter reminded twitter that Leh is the headquarter of the Union Territory of Ladakh and both Ladakh as well as Jammu and Kashmir are integral parts of India.
