GPS enabled dedicated Highway Patrol launched in Senapati & Kangokpi
Guwahati: In an effort to further secure the National Highway-2 for the first time in Manipur GPS enabled dedicated Highway Patrol consisting of 8 vehicles was flagged off on Friday.
Doungel, IPS DGP, Manipur was present at the Senapati today. All eight vehicles are equipped with GPS and Wireless Communication sets and can be reached by dialling 112 and PCR no. 8798198810 (SPT) & 9362153322 ( KPI).
The following officers have been participated in the flagging off program:

It may be mentioned that the 8 vehicles will cover the stretch of NH-2 from Mao, Senapati to Gamgiphai, Kangpokpi District. Each vehicle will cover a distance of 10-12 km. The Highway patrol will also act as the first responders to any crime or distress along the highway.
