Guwahati: The sixth semester examination for degree courses has been postponed by Gauhati University (GU). The exam which was initially supposed to start on June 25 will now start on June 29.
The university administration has chosen to postpone the exam due to the Assam flood crisis.
Meanwhile, the ongoing rain in Assam has caused flooding in numerous areas of the state, postponing the Post Graduate examination under Gauhati University and its affiliated colleges, the GUIST examination and the I. Com examination.
The exams that were supposed to take place on June 21 and 22 have been rescheduled, and the university will soon announce the new dates.
