Guwahati: The Guwahati Traffic Police has issued recommendations for the traffic flow during the Durga Puja celebration which starts on Saturday
The Guwahati Traffic Deputy Commissioner of Police briefed the media on the new traffic regulations on Friday.
The government has set restrictions on the use of two- and four-wheeled vehicles on October 2 and 3. National Highways 27 and 17 will be subject to the new regulations from 9 am on Sunday to 2 am on Monday.
On the other hand, on October 1, 3, 4, and 5 there will be restrictions on six-wheelers and other goods-carrying vehicles on the roadways from 9 am to 11:30 pm.
There are no limitations on driving between the hours of 4 and 9 on festival days.
Only after displaying a valid pass can a vehicle enter Barsapara Tiniali and Dhirenpara Tiniali.
The path from Dhirenpara to Barsapara Stadium will become a one-way route on the days of the event.
