Gujarat Elections to be held in 2 phases on Dec1 & 5, counting on Dec 8
Guwahati: The Election Commission on Thursday announced the date for Gujarat assembly elections. Voting will occur on December 1 and December 5, and results will be tallied on December 8.
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar stated during a press conference that the Election Commission of India will serve more than 4.9 crore voters in Gujarat. 4.6 lakh people are first-time voters.
There will be over 51,000 polling stations in Gujarat for the upcoming elections. “For enhanced voting experience, 1,274 polling stations will be completely managed by women polling and security staff,” said the election commissioner.
The 182-member Gujarat Assembly’s term will come to an end on February 18 of the next year.
Phases 1 and 2 notification dates are November 5 and November 10, respectively.
For Phases 1 and 2, respectively, the deadlines for nominations are November 14 and November 17.
For Phases 1 and 2, the examination of nominations will occur on November 15 and November 19, respectively.
The final day to withdraw your application will be November 17 for Phase 1 and November 21 for Phase 2, respectively.
