Gun license granted to Salman Khan for self-protection after receiving death threat
Guwahati: Bollywood actor Salman Khan requested a permit to own a firearm for self-defense after he and his father, Salim Khan received a letter of threat.
Salman Khan allegedly received a threat letter from the gang of mobster Lawrence Bishnoi, after which the latter met with Mumbai police commissioner Vivek Phansalkar.
There are rumours that Salman has upgraded to a Land Cruiser that is armoured and bulletproof.
Salman and his father Salim Khan got a death threat a few days after the murder of Punjabi artist Sidhu Moose walla, which prompted the father-son team to seek police assistance.
According to police sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the letter the actor received in Hindi said that Salim Khan and his kid would soon suffer the same fate as the assassinated musician Siddhu Moosewala (‘Tera Moosawala bana denge’).
The note was discovered by Salim Khan’s security staff outside their Mumbai residence close to the Bandra Bandstand promenade, where Salim Khan goes for his daily morning jog.
