Gunfight Erupts Between Assam Rifles and NSCN K-YA in Arunachal Pradesh
Itanagar: A violent gunfight erupted between the Assam Rifles and the NSCN K-YA near Lanka village in the Nampong area of Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district on Thursday morning. The exchange of fire began around 9 a.m. and lasted for several hours.
Official sources confirmed that no casualties have been reported from either side, but the situation remains tense. The area, located near the Indo-Myanmar border, has been a hotspot for sporadic insurgent clashes in recent months.
