Gunmen Loot Arms from IRB Outpost in Manipur
Imphal: Unidentified gunmen looted a significant amount of weaponry from an India Reserve Battalion (IRB) outpost in Manipur’s Thoubal district on Saturday night.
Officials confirmed that a group of armed individuals arrived at the outpost in Kakmayai in multiple vehicles and forcibly seized a cache of firearms.
The stolen arsenal includes at least six Self-Loading Rifles (SLRs) and three AK-47 assault rifles, along with approximately 270 rounds of ammunition and 12 magazines.
In response to the incident, additional security forces have been deployed to the area to conduct thorough search operations. Authorities have also initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack and apprehend the perpetrators.
