Gunotsav 2024: Enhancing Educational Quality in Assam

Guwahati, 28th December: Scheduled to kick off on January 3, 2024, and extend until February 9, 2024 (contrary to the initially instructed end date of February 8), Gunotsav 2024 is a pivotal educational event in Assam aimed at elevating the quality of elementary education across the state.

This comprehensive initiative unfolds in three phases and is set to impact a substantial number of schools and students, with over 88,525 schools and 42,76,881 students from classes I to IX participating.

Key Phases:

  1. Phase 1 (January 4-6): Covers 12 districts, including Barpeta, Karimganj, Kamrup, Karbi Anglong, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Sibsagar, South Salmara-Mancachar, and Udalguri.
  2. Phase 2 (January 10-12): Involves 13 districts, such as Baksa, Biswanath, Chirang, Charaideo, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Jorhat, Kamrup (Metro), Sonitpur, Tinsukia, and Tamulpur.
  3. Phase 3 (February 6-8): Encompasses districts like Bongaigaon, Darrang, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Cachar, Nalbari, Morigaon, Dima Hasao, Majuli, and West Karbi Anglong.

Evaluation Process:

  • Self-evaluation precedes each phase, while external evaluations occur during the specified dates for each phase.

Result Announcement:
The results of Gunotsav 2024 are scheduled to be declared on April 15, 2024, at 11 AM.
