Guwahati: Guwahati Police has arrested a manager and two other employees of a private enterprise in connection with an embezzlement case.
Radiant Cash Management Services Private Limited in Guwahati employed the staff. The three employees had misappropriated up to Rs 70 lakhs in cash.
According to reports, cash is collected from a variety of online providers, including Amazon, and deposited at a bank.
However, it was found that two cash executives, as well as the firm’s manager identified as Nirmal Das had been misappropriating monies for the past year.
Rather than putting the money in a bank, the trio used it to meet their personal needs.
Officials from the firm filed a FIR against the three people on June 18. The Geetanagar Police initiated an operation in response to the FIR, and the perpetrators were apprehended.
As per police, other people are said to be involved in the case. The group is being questioned by the cops in the meantime.
