Guwahati: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members, activists, and supporters in Assam chanted “Adani Modi Bhai Bhai” in front of the BJP office in Guwahati on Sunday.
Workers from the party, activists and supporters gathered earlier today in front of the BJP office to protest against Adani over claims of financial fraud.
Adani was accused by the demonstrators of robbing people with the assistance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Adani Modi Bhai Bhai, Dekh Khon Looti Khai,” they were heard chanting.
Meanwhile, several AAP employees who were protesting were detained by the local police.
As the police attempted to stop the protestors from protesting a confrontation also broke out between the protestors and the police.
It should be noted that protests were organised on the same day when AAP protested in many states to demand an investigation of the claims made against the Adani group by Hindenburg Research.
