Guwahati: Alleged Humiliation of Student Sparks FIR Against School Teacher
Guwahati, 8th February: The parents of a 14-year-old student from Holy Child Senior Secondary School have filed a First Information Report (FIR) on February 9 against a teacher of the school for allegedly humiliating their daughter in front of the class.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred during a Social Science class, where the teacher reportedly screamed at the student for writing in a zig-zag manner.
Expressing concern over the incident’s impact on their daughter’s mental health, the parents mentioned in the FIR that the ordeal compelled them to report the matter at the Chandmari Police Station.
While attempts were made to reach out to the school administration for comment, they remained unavailable at the time of inquiry.
The Officer-in-Charge of Chandmari Police Station confirmed the lodging of the FIR and assured that an investigation into the incident is underway.
