Guwahati: The Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid a visit to the Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, Assam, on Sunday to seek the blessings of Goddess Kamakhya while on a three-day trip to the Northeast.
The chief minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma also accompanied Shah.
This afternoon, Shah will be present at the North Eastern Council (NEC) Plenary Session.
The two-day conference of the superintendents of police will begin later today at the Police Training College, and the union home minister will then travel to Dergaon in the Golaghat district to officially open it.
The seminar will take place in the Police Training College’s freshly built police conference room.
