Guwahati: The situation in Guwahati’s Maligaon became violent after an altercation broke out between an e-rickshaw driver and an auto driveron Tuesday.
The e-rickshaw driver has been identified as Rubul Das.
According to reports, Das was allegedly attacked by the tempo driver named Chandra Kumar.
Rubul Das got into a fight after carrying passengers from Goushala to Gotanagar. The dispute eventually escalated into physical violence.
Chandra Kumar beat up Das, leaving him with an injury.
He has later admitted at a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the tempo driver has been detained by the police.
