Guwahati: Guwahati Police on Sunday recovered the body of a middle-aged man from a house in Basistha area of the city.
The incident took place in the Patarkuchi area.
The deceased has been identified as Pujan Dey.
According to reports, Dey had been imprisoned inside his home for the previous three days.
Dey reportedly shared a residence with his nephew, the identity of whom is yet to be ascertained.
It may be mentioned that Dey worked as rickshaw driver in and around his locality.
Meanwhile, police arrived at the spot in the interim to assess the situation. Police stated that the cause of his death will be known after post mortem.
