Guwahati, 9th February: The body of Govinda Rajbongshi, who went missing from Guwahati’s Boragaon locality under mysterious circumstances, was discovered floating at the bank of the Brahmaputra River in Palashbari, Kamrup district of Assam, on Friday.
Earlier today, a body wearing a black t-shirt was sighted at the Palashbari ghat, prompting the Palashbari police to be alerted about the incident.
Initially, the police couldn’t ascertain the identity of the deceased. However, after several hours, the family members of Govinda Rajbongshi arrived at the scene and positively identified the body.
The family members further stated that Govinda Rajbongshi had been missing since February 2, 2024.
