Guwahati: Body of Ninth Grade Student Recovered from River Brahmaputra
Guwahati, 28th March: The lifeless body of a ninth-grade student was found in River Brahmaputra on the outskirts of Guwahati city on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Inzamul Haque.
Haque, a student at Shankar Madhav School located in Noonmati, had gone for a bath with his friends in the river at Soonchali area on Tuesday (March 26) after receiving the results of their final examinations.
However, he subsequently went missing in the strong current, according to his friends.
For the past two days, Haque’s parents had been searching for him, and they later found his clothes on the river banks.
They informed the State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF), initiating a prolonged search operation that led to the recovery of his body.
