Guwahati: A dead body was recovered from the Hatigaon area of Guwahati on Sunday.
The deceased identified as Rupjyoti Deka and was a resident of Batadroba in Nagaon district of Assam.
According to reports, the body was found hanging in the ceiling fan at his residence. The circumstances surrounding the body’s recovery sparked suspicions of suicide, but the true cause of death has yet to be determined
Deka was the driver for Gulzar Hussain of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Minority Front.
However, the police reached the spot after getting informed by the locals.
It may be mentioned that a detailed investigation has been initiated by the police in the matter and the body was sent for post mortem.
