Guwahati, 26th November: In a disturbing incident, the lifeless body of Anushka Saikia, a young beautician, was discovered under mysterious circumstances at her rented residence in Guwahati’s Hengrabari area.
Anushka, originally from Dhemaji, had been working at a nearby beauty parlour for the past year.
Dispur Police were alerted about the incident and promptly reached the scene to recover the body.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the circumstances surrounding her death. A domestic help named Junu Borah from the residence has been taken in for questioning.
While forensic experts are collecting evidence, the nature of the incident—whether it is a case of murder or suicide—remains unclear.
Locals in the area have alleged that the domestic helper and the owner of the house might be involved in Anushka’s death, suggesting a possible illicit affair.
The investigation is ongoing, and details are awaited.
