Guwahati: Dispur College recovered their stolen money worth over Rs. 76 lakhs after their bank on Thursday account were allegedly hacked in April this year.
They received three payments totaling Rs. 76,34,900 in total.
They had a bank account at the Bank of Baroda’s Dispur Branch in Guwahati,
According to the reports, the occurrence was the result of carelessness on the part of bank officials.
Dispur College in Guwahati allegedly had its bank account compromised by cybercriminals.
More than 76 lakhs rupees were stolen from the college’s bank account by online fraudsters. However, the incident came into light on May 2 despite the fact that the account was stolen in April.
The money reportedly moved from the Bank of Baroda branch in Dispur to the Union Bank of India’s Bornogor branch in West Bengal.
