Guwahati: Don Bosco School Student caught red-handed with drugs; 7.23 kg Ganja Seized

Guwahati, 15th November: In a shocking incident that occurred in Guwahati’s Noonmati area, a class 10 student pursuing in Don Bosco School was arrested by city police for allegedly sending drugs by post.

The arrestee has been identified as 16-year-old Milat Chakma, a resident of Mizoram.

As per sources, Chakma lives in a rented house in Noonmati’s Salbari.

Chakma’s illicit activities were brought to light when Suren Talukdar, the post office master, grew suspicious of the packages and immediately alerted the Noonmati police officials.

Upon inspection, law enforcement recovered and seized a substantial 7 kg 230 grams of ganja concealed within the parcels.

Sources indicate that this wasn’t an isolated incident, suggesting a pattern of drug trafficking from Noonmati to Delhi.

Following the incident, Noonnmati police have registered a case in connection with the incident and launched a thorough investigation into the matter.

It needs to be mention that authorities are investigating to unveil the extent of the drug network and apprehend any potential accomplices.
