Guwahati, 27th December: In an unusual turn of events beneath Guwahati’s Bhangagarh flyover, a mobile phone theft deviated from the typical pattern of male involvement in such crimes.
The perpetrator, an unidentified woman on a scooter, seized an opportune moment when an Uber driver, awaiting his customer, fell victim to her swift theft.
As the driver barely stepped away from his vehicle, the audacious woman snatched his mobile phone and swiftly fled on her scooter, leaving the stunned driver in shock.
Upon receiving the information, Bhangagarh police initiated an investigation to identify and apprehend the female offender. The police have secured CCTV footage of the incident and are meticulously examining it for leads.
