Guwahati, 13th November: In an unexpected turn of events amidst Diwali celebrations in Guwahati, an intoxicated woman stirred chaos atop the Shraddhanjali Flyover on Zoo Road after being halted by traffic police for riding her motorcycle without a helmet.
The routine traffic stop escalated when the inebriated woman vehemently resisted police intervention, engaging in unruly behavior. To the surprise of onlookers, she even tore off the nameplate from the uniform of one of the officers during the tumultuous encounter.
Despite the police’s attempts to reason with the disoriented woman, she remained uncooperative, shouting incomprehensible remarks and displaying erratic movements. The situation took an additional twist when she claimed to be the spouse of a fellow police officer, adding a layer of complexity to the already challenging scenario.
