Guwahati: A massive fire broke out in Guwahati’s Fancy Bazaar on Wednesday.
The incident took place at around 1.30 pm at the Lakhtokia near Fakaruddin Ali Ahmed Bhawan in the city.
According to reports, the fire occurred reportedly from a gas cylinder in a shoe and bag godown, and in the incident properties worth around Rs 15 lakhs were damaged.
However, fire tenders rushed to the affected place and doused the fire.

Earlier on January 7, a massive fire broke out at the Geeta Nagar area in a furniture manufacturing unit in Guwahati on Friday.
The fire broke out in the “Wood Works” furniture manufacturing unit which is located opposite of Geeta Nagar field.
