Guwahati: GRP Home Guards Missing After Looting Train Passenger
Guwahati, 6th November: Three Government Railway Police (GRP) home guards have allegedly absconded themselves after robbing a train passenger. The incident came to light on November 6.
According to sources, these three home guards, who were stationed at Kamakhya Railway Station in Guwahati, disappeared on October 24 following accusations of looting one kilogram of gold from a passenger on the Kanchanjungha Express.
The trio has been identified as Ajmal Ali, Tafikur Rahman, and Aaktul Ali.
In response to these allegations, a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been filed against the accused home guards.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
