Guwahati, December 15: In a concerning incident, an inmate held at the Guwahati’s Hatigaon Police Station reportedly escaped custody on Friday.
The escape occurred during the early morning hours when the inmate was being taken to the washroom, managing to flee while still in handcuffs.
The situation heightened tension at the Hatigaon police station immediately following the incident.
Authorities have immediately initiated search operations to locate the absconding prisoner.
