Guwahati, 19th September: In the afternoon of Tuesday in Guwahati’s Christian Basti neighborhood, a senior man is accused of reportedly touching a young girl inside an elevator of a high-rise building.
According to authorities, the elderly guy is accused of groping the young woman while they were both alone in the elevator.
The incident has alarmed the building’s occupants. Residents promptly intervened and detained the accused man before he could leave the area after the woman complained to the security guard.
Shami Kinnar, a native of southern India, has been identified as the accused man. The ‘Brahmaputra Agency’ in the city, of which Kinnar is a worker, is discovered.
The incident has been reported to the Guwahati police.
